If it has been more than 24 hours, then you will have to pay an Allegiant Air Cancellation fee of $75 for every passenger per segment. Once the process has been initiated, you will be given a credit on your account minus the $75 cancellation fee. These remaining funds are non-refundable credit and beneficial for future travel with Allegiant.
With the option of Trip Flex, if you've passed the 24-hour window to make changes, you can still make changes to the flight, date, and destination of your reservation or even cancel ( within specific guidelines). You don't have to pay cancellation or change fees here.
How to Opt for Trip Flex: You should be aware that Trip Flex can only be bought at the time of making the reservation. There is no option to add to the existing reservation. Charges to add Trip Flex to your booking are around $8 to $20 per passenger per segment as per your flight routing.
Specifically, with Trip Flex, you are allowed to modify your flight itinerary once, up to 1 hour prior to departure of the flight. And you don't have to pay the additional $75 fee for every passenger.
This is the third thing you need to be aware of. If you are canceling an award ticket, the same conditions apply. If you made the purchase of Trip Flex with an award ticket, in that case, too, you will not be charged a fee to change or cancel award tickets.
One thing to be added here is that if you had used the points for flight booking and then decided to cancel, you would not be receiving those points back. Rather than receiving those points back, you will instead receive a credit voucher, which is beneficial for future bookings.
If you have received flight vouchers from previous flights, you can utilize them for new bookings. First, start new bookings on Allegiant Air official website. Find out the flight you'd like to book & reach the payment tab, then click on Dropbox and enter your voucher number. That's how you apply a voucher to a new booking.
